Why my program does not compile in CodeLite

When I run a C program in CodeLite, the output is simple: Press any key to continue

#include <stdio.h> int main(int argc, char **argv) { printf("hello world\n"); return 0; }

You decide: "I run the program" or "do not compile the program"?
My program starts and compiles, but the program writes: Press any key to continue, and that's it.
The same question in the English version of SO: CodeLite - Console runs but the code is not working and there the topstarter solved the problem by disabling the antivirus program (Kaspersii), which apparently deleted the exe file immediately after compilation.
It looks like some kind of bug in CodeLite, which launches the console without being convinced that it has something to do.
And the pause and the caption appear due to the included option Project settings - General - Pause when execution ends .
