With the help of acronis disk director (for windows) I changed the hard disk from dynamic to basic. The machine rebooted and in the middle of the process gave suberror... Press any key to reboot . After the reboot, the message reboot and select proper boot device is displayed.

I tried to boot into Linux from a flash drive, there GParted shows my hard disk as a solid unpartitioned space. Is there a chance to restore everything as it was? And what could have caused the error?

The question is not quite about programming, but there is no Russian-language askubuntu / more relevant sites.

  • and there is a backup machine? - Mikhail Vaysman
  • @Mikhail, of course not. - LNK
  • There is an answer: stackoverflow.com/a/457232/191416 - don Rumata
  • @donRumata, the situation is different there, even my sections are not visible. GParted simply displays "unallocated space". - LNK
  • @LNK, you can immediately see what you read, but did not do as I wrote in that answer. "See the gopher? And I am not, but he is." Gparted should not show remote partitions - this is not its task. His task is to work with existing or create new ones. Working with deleted partitions is the task of recovery programs. Guess where the working software is listed. - don Rumata

GParted may show a disk unallocated in case you had a Boot crashed - actually your case. Recover the bootloader, there is a chance to save data.

  • remontka.pro/select-proper-boot-device actually here, as I described - Nomine
  • When I write the command `bootrec / fixboot`, it says" Item not found ". And in the first window my system is not displayed ... - LNK
  • In addition, the `bootrec / scanos` command writes that 0 windows systems were detected. - LNK
