If everything is fine on the virtual machine, then your system has a problem. You can try to restore the system files, and then the installer should work.

Run the command prompt under the admin name. And run the sfc /scannow command. If the program finds the "wrong" system files, it will ask you to replace them with the original ones. Point to this path to the installation disk with Windows. The one from which to install the system.
