Suppose I collected a jar on a tutorial from off site spring.io . I have a folder with the tomcat application tomcat . How do I make the jar that I jar work under tomcat ? Just put it in the lib folder? Inside the jar need to specify some information about tomcat ?

To run on tomcat you need to build war .
