I make a static website gallery with a githaba, I recently (today I learned) learned the sad news that repositories contain restrictions, such as 100 MB per downloadable file, and the total size of the repository should not be more than a gigabyte. For the code it is enough, a couple of pictures and svg for the site - completely.
But what if the pictures (as the main content) will be a thousand or more? The site is for personal use, and then it is static, so there will not be a billion images, but in the general girth they will have weight. How, then, to store them, and where - the most important thing? If on clouds (and in what), will the legal entities change there? It will be sad if 1000 pictures change the legal entity, and then you sit down and _data everything in the _data file. So this question is now.

  • imgur? api.imgur.com - Hardc0re
  • Interest, flickr, google-disk, dropboh and further, all of the above have an API - Mikhail Rebrov
  • @Hardc0re, tell me about the benefits then, if any, that you know from experience. - VostokSisters
  • @ Mikhail Rebrov, I recently study the web and know about the API only that this is a set of functionality that is given to developers to use their service for themselves. Can it suit me? If, for example, I choose a google disk, will I be able to implement it if I start digging in this direction? - VostokSisters
  • @VostokSisters, you can google disk separately as a storage for photos to use, you can completely make a website there. Google Drive API Documentation - Mikhail Rebrov

Buy hosting and make a website there. And if it is really for personal, then it’s not on the PC on your PC.

Because any free services tend to curl.

  • If it is said for personal use, it is not necessarily only I will look at it) The point is that I will fill it, and not other people. And no, I would like to do without hosting. - VostokSisters
  • Well, if you do not value your time (this is life, for a sec.), Then you can play with the services that are out of your control. Naturally the right solution - hosting. Or "home server". But it is not known what will be cheaper. - SeVlad

Well, then you can not buy Microsoft programs, download Linux and not use anything else from the finished products and services, and do everything from scratch. Far collected such thoughts in general? : D You can use everything if it works as you need. The question is quite specific. - VostokSisters
  • Hosting - and there is "use ready." And about the "gather" .. funny, yes :) In the profile to look no luck? On the reference to be like? Lano, I will not interfere with garbage. When you lose your job, you will understand how to do it right. - SeVlad
  • @SeVlad, correctly in your understanding, this is fast and expensive, but without garbage, I immediately understood it. You can not repeat again. And here the question is not to pay for hosting for a static site, which is needed ONLY in order to store pictures. In 2017, there is not a single such hosting for hosting any pictures? Seriously? - VostokSisters
