The essence of the question is described in the title.

Reviewed a bunch of lessons, videos, and so on. Redo the finished topic does not fit. You will not wish to rummage through all these files to the enemy.

Is it possible to leave your site layout (by breaking it into header, footer, etc.) so that only the texts and images of your slider can be changed from the admin panel. And if possible, how?

  • What is a "layout"? Theme? What is the catalog of the catalog or a handwritten curve hack, in which it is not possible to change the slider from the admin panel? But at the same time you can not touch the theme files? NDA, dilemma :) ..... And the "digging" do not need anyone. And a bunch of garbage "lessons", "video" and etc. also do not need to look. Need to read the documentation. codex.wordpress.org/… codex.wordpress.org/… - SeVlad
  • I read the documentation. It describes the hierarchy of files and the initial breakdown of its theme in header, footer, and so on. But the point is not the point. What code should I insert instead of texts and images in my own layout so that they can be changed in the admin panel? This is not documented. - Bonfire
  • So you can still change the theme files? In order to add functionality. - SeVlad
  • I now have just rolled out from 0 page. If I break them into files, I get a theme for wordpress, in which nothing can be changed. I'm trying to find out how to change the layout so that you can change texts, images, and so on from the wordpress admin panel. - Bonfire
  • If you "break into files" - you can’t get any good. No offense, but it can be seen by requests. Take better the finished theme from the repo and make a daughter to it with your layout. codex.wordpress.org/… - SeVlad

You need to write admin pages to store the slider data in the database, and add slider output functions to the theme templates . Admin Sample:

Another option is to use a ready-made slider plugin by pasting its functions into the template.
