Initially, there is a Linux and Windows application based on Qt , the task is to use these applications to open a specific directory on the drive when connecting a USB drive. Question: Which toolkit is better to use in order to easily build the same project on both systems?

PS About libusb vkurse, but I do not know how much it is suitable for maintaining the cross-form project.

  • libusb is clearly not what is needed. It is a tool for low-level operation with the USB protocol; it is usually used when developing homemade usb devices. - maestro
  • In general, even Qt does not do this cross-platform. For Linux, I can suggest monitoring the /dev/ using QFileSystemWatcher . - maestro
  • @maestro, this is understandable about directory monitoring. I dug up the current thing on the Internet, but I didn’t test it strongly at yoctopuce.com/EN/aboutus.php, it seems like a clear api for working with usb on different platforms. How to spend all the tests I will write it off. - Alex.B

I think the question can be closed. The choice fell on Ektopus with a pair of dopilok. - Alex.B
