Good day. Faced such a problem: every time I run Visual Studio for mac, it requires downloading the mono framework. After installation, it opens normally, but if you finish the studio and reopen it, the request is repeated. The problem is that after a successful installation it is enough for one launch, and it is necessary to complete the studio as it again asks to install the same version that it installed before.

    The problem was that during the upgrade Xamarin Studio was launched. Apparently something like a conflict is happening and is not being installed normally. The problem was solved, just completed all the programs, Visual Studio and Xamarin Studio, and start the package installation manually.
