I make an Rc machine with the help of an arduino and there was a problem when trying to build a prototype) The machine has the simplest structure: 4 wheels and 4 dc motors directly connected to the wheels, that is, the machine will turn like a tank xD (turning the left and right wheels in opposite directions if standing on place, or slowing down one of the front wheels if turning on the go)
here there were problems: how much distance should there be between the wheels and what should be the width of the car so that there are no problems with the turns? red lines in the picture) maybe some formulas ...
