I began to study the production of sites, and the first example from the book does not want to be executed.

I write:

<?php echo " Today is " . date("l") . ". "; ?> Here's the latest news.

The CodeLobster does not work. There it was necessary to specify the path of the php.ini file, and it should be in the project folder. I just copied it. Maybe copy the rest of the folder?

  • Code worker - you can check, for example, here: phptester.net If CodeLobster is complicated for you - use OpenServer, there is nothing to copy anywhere. - labris

There are no errors in the code, the problem is in your IDE.

If you are working with Windows, download Openserver and advise using another IDE for example PHPStorm or Sublime Text

  • It is even better not to have unnecessary problems, use Notepad ++ or Atom without any IDE :) - labris
  • Atom would not say, as for me Sublime is the most convenient and fast, if several possibilities to add to it with PHPStorm would sit only in it. - Yaroslav Molchan
  • At the initial level it is sometimes better to have fewer opportunities :) In addition, PHPStorm, if you take it legally, costs $ 199.00 per year. Sublime, if you approach it honestly, costs $ 70. For starters, it's better to use completely free solutions. And the Atom has a choice of almost 6,000 packages, which gives interesting possibilities for setting it up. - labris
