There is a program that works with archives .rar through UnRAR.dll . There was a need to go to the .zip format.
What are analogs for .zip with similar functionality for more convenient transition to it?
Is it possible to force UnRAR.dll to work with .zip so as not to rewrite the code?

  • When trying to open a zip-archive UnRAR.dll reports that it is not rar, it seems that it cannot work with zip. - insolor

Be so kind as to write what language or what you use there. We will assume that this is C ++. For him, there is a wonderful zlib . In my opinion it is impossible to find one that does not rewrite anything. It was worth taking care of when they started writing a program. In the SDK, by the way, everything is arranged according to points. Good luck to you ;)

  • Thank! But does dll have a difference on what to write? And so VBA . zlib not what I meant, but this option is also good. By "do not rewrite the code" was meant that whether UnRAR.dll can work with .zip? Although I did not find anything like this, the documentation says "for rar". - Ildar
  • The difference is that in the archive with UnRAR.dll there are ready examples of connecting the library to programs in C, C #, Delphi, Free Pascal, VB, etc. In zlib there are only files for C. If this is not a problem for you, then there is no difference :) - insolor
  • Looks like I'm inaccurate. Dynamically connected DLL can be used by any applications, no matter what language they are written in, I understood you, thank you;) The program was inherited and written in VBA , I don’t think there are any normal libraries in VBA ; ready dll . - Ildar
