Git hints to you that there is no .git folder in the folder where the command is invoked. Or rather, the folder (directory) where you invoke the command is not a git repository.

For starters, check back if a command is being called there.

If this is all right, call git-init in the calling folder. And add a remote.

  • if correctly understood, in the local Git folder, where all local versions of remote repos are contained, does it need to be initialized with git init? - Proshka
  • @Proshka, I did not quite understand your question. But I think, since you already call git remote , then git init has already been executed. In general, I would advise you to use the built-in scm in your IDE (in any self-respecting IDE this is implemented). - Ep1demic
  • figured out, thanks. @ Ep1demic - thanks for the help and advice - I will use it. The directory with local versions was not initialized. After git init and then git remote add for each project, naturally, after git remove -v, the entire list of added projects spilled out. Thank you all. @ korytoff - I'm fine with English. The question is the lack of time and in a hurry. - Proshka
  • the command: git remote -v # may not give any response at all or write that this is an error. In what cases it happens. 1. The local repository is not initialized. 2. You need to connect the remote repository branch: git remote add origin github.com/user_user_name/Repository.git name You can see my publication on habr if you are interested: habr.com/ru/post/451662 - Vyacheslav Mischenko
