Good day. There is a C # project solution for SharePoint. I need to do a Build solution first, then Deploy solution.

I select the project, with the right click I do " Clean solution " - everything is ok. then: right click " Build solution " - everything is ok. then: right click " Deploy solution " - I get an error like this:

Error: File not found: F:\Projects\My.Timers\My.Timers\Package\Package.package. ========== Build: 0 succeeded or up-to-date, 1 failed, 0 skipped ========== ========== Deploy: 0 succeeded, 0 failed, 0 skipped ==========

The problem is that the Package.package file really exists at the specified path.

The rights are given complete on the entire project folder with sub-files. There are no antiviruses. With the ways everything seems to be ok. People, what's wrong with my project ???

  • And what's the point at the end? Package.package. - codename0082016
  • I dont know. More precisely, it is not found anywhere, either in the configuration files or in real names. Perhaps this is the end of the sentence the studio ends. But yes, generally strange. Moreover, if the Package subfolder (inside which the Package.package file is located) is transferred to the disk root, and in My.Timers.csproj to correct the path to the new location, then this error does not occur, and the .wsp file is created correctly. - Vard32

There was a similar error. In my case, she decided as follows:

  1. In Visual Studio, open the Package.package file in the original project;
  2. Go to the Advanced tab and see if there are any dependencies on the builds of the current project or external builds. enter image description here

In my case, it was necessary to remove dependencies on deleted assemblies.
