Hello, I encountered such a problem. If you put simple links in the WordPress settings, then instead of the template 404, you open the usual error "Not Found the requested URL / aadsad was not found on this server." Using simple links is necessary, tell me how to fix this problem. Thank you in advance!

Try to write more detailed questions. To get an answer, explain what exactly you see the problem, how to reproduce it, what you want to get as a result, etc. Give an example that clearly demonstrates the problem. If the question can be reformulated according to the rules set out in the certificate , edit it .

  • In the settings of WP (and in the documentation there is no such thing as simple links). Explain what you want using standard terms. Give a post that is incorrectly displayed, setting permalinks. In general, ask a question humanly. - KAGG Design
  • In other words, create a minimal, self-sufficient, and replicable example: ru.stackoverflow.com/help/mcve. - KAGG Design
  • @KAGGDesign are simple - these are default settings in permalinks. - SeVlad
  • @SeVlad can only guess about this. There is no such term - simple links. And if there is, show where it is described in official documents. - KAGG Design
  • @KAGGDesign and go to permalinks - what's written there? :) - SeVlad

Of course, it will. To set your 404th page, you need to manually set a directive in .htaccess

 ErrorDocument 404 /404.html

Where is the 404.html file in the root of the site (not the theme of the VP!)
