I need a CSS / HTML framework for regular content. Is there anything like this at all? What are these frameworks called? I will try to explain what I mean.
There is a site (abstract), which already has a main template already laid out - a hat, a footer, the main one with carousels and sliders, all that.
It remains to give a tool for the content manager, with which he will be able to fill the contents of ordinary text pages in the admin area. But so that it looks attractive.
The task is absolutely standard.
Typically, the content manager in the WYSIWYG editor in the admin panel writes text, lists, inserts signs. Sometimes he needs to insert something like a quote or paragraph with an illustration in the form of a picture. And there are blocks with a fixed width, pictures float'ami. What, firstly, does not look very good, and secondly, it does not fit well with adaptability.
I would like the content manager not to do manual coloring of the text and setting the width of the blocks, but to use a “constructor” of prefabricated elements.
And here we need a framework / constructor that provides such elements. What should there be conditionally:
- Support for adaptability.
- Vertical rhythm.
- Titles, paragraphs, lists, tablets, etc.
- And various widgets that allow you to decorate the page, for example:
- Highlighted paragraph (blocking text that attracts attention).
- Text with a picture. There may be several widgets to choose from, because it may be a short text with a picture or a long text with a picture - their appearance and adaptive behavior may vary.
- Mini-gallery of photos.
- Figure (video or image).
- Etc.
And having such tools, the content manager collects a page from ready-made pieces, simply filling in the text and inserting pictures into the places prepared in advance. I didn’t like what the content looks like in one widget - I took another.
As a result, it looks beautiful and consistent.
It is important that this be a holistic framework in which all components are consistent. How to build such a "designer" of components from the Internet, and so it is understandable. What is needed is a single approach and common logic.
For the coder, it should be possible to impose a theme (color, font, base font size, adjust the vertical rhythm, etc.).
I don't know what it's called. The frameworks I saw / used offer a grid, forms, buttons, tabs, etc., but this is not necessary for regular content. But the framework that would solve such a simple task as “place a picture with text” without burdening you with the notion of float and the nuances of its behavior, I have not yet found.
Is there anything like that, and if so, what is it called?
