any book from the category of "php 4 dummies", perseverance, the brain (or even more perseverance), and bylocking your health - Zowie

Do not go to the dark side of the force. If you chose it as the first programming language, it will leave in your brain complex reversible changes that can only be erased with years of neat coding in a more advanced language. - Vladimir Gordeev
  • Manual read and you will be happy. - Vitaly Kustov

@Vladimir VG, don't fire holivar! php is no worse than the rest of the YaP in its business, another thing is that many people use it without deliberation. - Alex Kapustin

    > php is no worse than the rest of the YaP in its business, another thing is that many people use it without deliberation. PHP is an objective shitty language. Is there any area or problem that he does better than others? It is better. - Vladimir Gordeev

I started with Robin Nixon "Creating Dynamic Websites with PHP, MySQL, Javascript." Book of 2011, you can find online. Easy to read, there are pictures with examples, codes, and more. Teaches the basics, beginners advise.

Most of all I like the fact that the SQL examples are described there using the console and not from PyhapyAdmin, that IMHO is simply wonderful. In general, the book is excellent, in order to be interesting to start - what you need. - Zowie
  • Yes, I agree the examples are described using the console, but for convenience I worked in phpMyAdmin in the "SQL" tab. The same console, only the interface is more convenient)) - DennisBorisov
  • Thanks for the book by Robin Nixon, but can there still be literature that can be read in parallel ?? - MACJIO
  • JavaScript - a detailed guide, for example - Zowie
  • Started reading Robin Nixon got to install WAMP on the system Winodws. Is it possible to find EasyPHP rus somewhere? and is there no point in this? or download EasyPHP via easyphp.org and not ask stupid questions? - MACJIO

Luke Welling and Laura Thompson: "Development of web applications on php and mysql". In the internet you can download 3rd edition and CD with all sources (because of the chapters with lessons on the development of an online store, postal service and cms), and then buy 4th edition, there are no these chapters, but there is interesting material about ajax, jquery. Very efficient book.

  • I understand the literature I should read is not enough, but I think it is worth it ... Thanks to good advice)) - MACJIO
  • @ Sharp-sighted, comments to the answer are needed for clarifications that should not be written in response. In your comments too much offtopic. Try to write on the case. - Nicolas Chabanovsky

The easiest way to learn the basics of programming is through a good teacher, because Books in the first stage raise a lot of confusing questions. Now there are a lot of good video courses on the Internet, I can recommend Yevgeny Popov’s courses as a superficial study, he is certainly not a guru in this powerful language, but he presents the basics with dignity. There is still Intuit.ru and the other day I found this site link I think will be useful.

  • "Specialist: Video courses on Internet technologies" Found on the Internet. The comprehensive course captures the language html; php; js; css; and so on. When watching a video, you feel like you are in the audience. - MACJIO

Start learning PHP with html. How to master the layout, at least elementary, proceed to PHP. Good books edition BHV-SPb. "PHP5 in the original" for example. Then look at the book "PHP5. Professional Programming." Very good book. Another good book is "PHP: Objects, Patterns and Programming Techniques," but for it you already need to know at least the base. Well and in parallel with it dig in js.

A good video course: D. Naumenko | PHP and CodeIgniter from scratch.
