Added Vlc ActiveX to project as com element. Libraries picked up work, when installing the project I put add dll, which relate to this element. But if ActiveX is not installed on the computer, the element is not detected, although the dll is added. It gives an error, the assembly directive is missing, although it is in the project.

It’s best to stop using ActiveX controls altogether. The most successful solution would be to use a wrapper library. For example: Vlc.DotNet
