On Steam, each account corresponds to a set of unique home computers from which access to this account can be obtained. How does Steam determine which user computer it was installed on, in other words, how does it identify it?

Found a solution. You can link your account to the MAC address + tags left by the application itself in the registry (in case there are several OSes on the machine and the account must be identified for each). Thank you all for the comments.
