The standard set of Android controls is rather poor. Of course, they can be redone, but the question torments me. Are there any ready-made sets of controls (like a component library in Delphi)? Google brought only this , I have not looked at it yet, but this is clearly not enough.

In general, I am interested in the element as in the video . There the guys control the robots from the tablet, to control the chassis. Something like a virtual joystick is used - a finger poked a chip on the screen, and you drag it within a circular area. Here I need it. If anyone saw - please.

Interesting! And why is the set of standard controls so poor? There are enough standard controls for the eyes and this is a better way to write applications, rather than sitting down writing bikes and losing time on unnecessary things. Above correctly answered you. What you want is a joystick used in games. You should dig AndEngine, LibGDX or other game engines. In cocos-2d-android there is no such thing exactly, I can tell right away.

Since the topic of controls has been touched: the best third-party library of controls I have seen is GreenDroid. But my attitude towards it is ambiguous, and in my opinion there is no such control in it, but you should keep a note on it.

Look for fun here still here Android UI Patterns: Open Source UI Libs The author considers popular open-source solutions for the organization of generally accepted UI-patterns.

It looks like the Analog Control at the AndEngine engine.

Also very interested in this topic. For example, iOS has a great site .
