There was a need to replace the computer with products from Apple (I do not want to work in xcode on a virtual machine)

The choice faces such laptops: MacBook Pro 13 Retina 2015 or MacBook Pro 13 2016 The advantages of the first model: the presence of HDMI, and more ports than in the 2016 version (the screen size is of little importance, since the monitor is connected)

The essence of the question: which laptop to choose at the end of 2017, how obsolete is the model for 15 years? Does it make sense to take it, or is it better to take a model of 16?

I will work in Android Studio and Xcode

Not on the subject of this site.

Well, on the issue - few requirements. If the price is not important - take immediately 2017.

If you want cheap but powerful - find 15 "of 2012 (not retina) with i7 2.7 GHz and if not in the maximum configuration - add RAM, 1 or 2 SSD and it will be enough for a long time.

Differences for such work are essentially only in the processor and in the hard disk (I do not know how for Xcode, but for Android Studio read and write speed is very important), compare these figures. In the 2016 version, of course, everything is better, but if there is still a question of price, then the 2015 version will probably suit more, also if the screen size is not important, then you should pay attention to the 15-inch Intel Core i7.
