Hello, there is a small VPS machine on DigitalOcean (1lvl, 512 RAM), configured independently by an experienced sysadmin (I), there is a site on it, attendance is 4-5k unique per day, and about once a day, the mysql process (mariadb) drops from by mistake

out of memory kill process (mysqld)

I have to restart the Apache, and muscle, do not tell me what to do with it? worth innodb_buffer_pool_size = 16m

  • Obviously, the muscle lacks RAM and is worth increasing (or to optimize its consumption). You can dock swap, but it can play in the opposite direction, slowing down all the work. - etki
  • @etki Can you make sure that he doesn't kill? Type reset the cache or so on, restarting after all helps. And it is also strange that the restriction of innodb does not help, I don’t even know how to force a muscle not to consume much memory - Vladimir
  • I am not a muscle specialist, but he doesn’t just take away memory for nothing, in the current configuration he clearly lacks it. - etki
