Hello. I needed to import my correspondence from Exchange to Microsoft Outlook. Temporarily no access to Exchange. For this, I would like to save the mail (you need to be safe). In the future we will move to another mail. I know where the ost file is, and I need to make pst out of it. The question is, the better to do the conversion from ost to pst?

Hello. To save Outlook data on a computer, use data files: “ Offline Folder Files ” (OST) or “ Offline Outlook Data Files ” (OST) depending on the version. There are also local files (PST).

    • Unfortunately, without access to the Exchange mail client, you will not be able to use the native \ mail export tool. You have to work with what you have, but you have an OST file.
    • The offline file itself is the saved data, but if you still use Microsoft Exchange mail, you may lose your settings due to the fact that it changes when working with mail.
    • Since you know where this file is located, but you have difficulty saving mail. I advise you to convert to a non-changing local PST file. In your case, you have to wait until you get access to the mail, or use third-party software. I can recommend to convert OST to PST online https://www.osttopst.online/ru/ , and I also advise https://support.office.com/ru-RU/Outlook
