Good day. Immediately I apologize for the possible curvature of the issue.

Is it possible to programmatically check the version of the application in the Play Market, so that when an update appears, users of the old version would learn about the appearance of the update through the application itself?

Thank.

You, as a developer, change the version in your application and upload it to the Market. The market automatically notifies the old version, in this case, the user (device) with the old version about the availability of the update.

    There is a third-party AppUpdater library: https://github.com/javiersantos/AppUpdater

AppUpdater checks for updates on Google Play, GitHub, Amazon, F-Droid or your own server. The library reports the availability of updates in your application using a dialog, Snackbar or notification.
