There is a large Firebird database file, there are several tables, all of them need to be linked together and build one table.

I have almost everything ready, but the problem is this:

There is a table in the RT_WORKS , called RT_WORKS , and so in this table there is a field WORK_NAME . At the customer in the program through which all this database was gradually created (the program is called auto dealer). In this field, meaningful names (for example, "replacement of brake pads"). I have the same base showing incomprehensible sets of capital English and numbers.

For example: CF5B2263038547E2798A9FE9D77A36514D492035923C8313AC925C3960DBCA3D70C896538B9C07BA .

Can anyone suggest what it is and how to translate it into a readable form?

  • Open the database through IB Expert and see how these fields look in it. - gbg
  • there is the same thing. What do you think - maybe this is a problem in the encoding? - Motoko
  • Surely in the encoding - when connecting to the database, you need to specify the correct one. - gbg
  • I used all the Cyrillic encodings that I know .. it did not help. if anything, all these strings consist of HEX - characters, i.e. 0-9 and AF - Motoko
