Faced a problem. When you open the side menu, you need to darken the main ViewController, and the UI elements on this ViewController also do not have to work, with the exception of the "burger". You need to implement everything in the SWRevealViewController class, so as not to clutter your ViewController with "garbage", which causes additional difficulties, since SWRevealViewController is written in Objective-C, and I haven’t dealt with it before.

By virtue of my not knowledge, for the implementation and acquisition of invaluable experience, I ask for support in solving this task. Below I enclose an approximate layout in the form of a picture.

  • Solved the problem as you have. The release was as follows: in each controller in the delegate method, it created a UIView full screen and made it translucent. Well and so did hide UIView. There is a code if this solution is interesting. - Vitaly
