Hello.

The question is about the web in Android . I am developing a JavaScript application for mobile phones. On the iPhone, everything works perfectly, but on Android application is not that it works slowly, but it works very slowly! Moreover, any graphical redrawing ( DOM ) for him is an unbearable burden.

Does anyone know what is causing such a terribly slow work of web applications in the browser on Android ? I don’t think that it’s a matter of slow JS processing, but a matter of drawing page graphics. Especially because on the page just a couple of pictures. The rest is CSS and HTML. I am even embarrassed by the fact that on the iPhone and on Android , single-browser browsers are installed - webkit .

And another question: if this can be fixed, how?

PS : The work was tested on different phones: from average cost to very expensive. And regardless of the cool characteristics of the phone, if it is on Android , it works slowly.

If this is important, then I make an application on Sencha Touch .

  • Well, with an iPhone, everything is clear - it's one, safari, but with androids you need to look at the configuration of the device, at the browser, etc. - Gorets
  • Standard browser for Android. Version Android 2.2 and higher. And what kind of configuration are you talking about? - Anton Mukhin
  • go, device, phone, I mean, if you talk about iPhone 2, it’s immediately understandable, percent 2x nuclear A5, and Android is now everywhere, and on phones and tablets from 300 to 1k - Gorets
  • Maybe you meant iPad2? Of course, then you need to compare it with similar characteristics: Samsung Tab10.1, Asus Transformer ... and other phones similarly, iPhone 4s - Galaxy S II, Note ... and so on ... @ Anton Mukhin, have you tried only standard browser? He seems to have begun to bring to mind with version 3 of the Android. I like how Miren Browser works with JS (IMHO is the best), but only for smart. By the way, in the 4th Android browser, as far as I remember, more or less brought to mind. - Dex
  • iPad2 or iPhone 4s ... thought about an iPhone, remembered that he was the second (after the iPhone 4) .. well, somehow it happened =) in short, you understood me - Gorets
