I installed Qt.

I can not create a project due to the fact that there is some kind of Qt-version.

What to do?

  • You can try to restart the creator and you need to make sure that Qt is worth it. A creator does not have to be with Qt, since You can keep many Qt versions on the same machine - gil9red
  • Asks for a valid kit under the widget app, most likely a problem in qt-versions. Although I'm not sure - Alleksh _
  • Restarted Nothing. - Alleksh _
  • Kit = Qt + Compiler + Debugger. You need to check that at least some version of Qt is installed. Kst, what OS? - gil9red pm
  • Elementary OS. It was installed only qt creator .. - Alleksh _

You most likely do not have Qt itself. In the good old days was sdk, now we need to put everything separately.

1. We put Creator

With this step, you obviously have already managed. If anything, new versions can be taken here .

2. We put the compiler and debugger

As I understand you have Linux. You can install the compiler and debugger from the repository. Say gcc and gdb

3. We put QT

We download the necessary version from here . You can keep multiple versions at once, if necessary.

At this stage, most likely, the qt creator will pick up everything it needs. If not, then go to the Build & Run tab and set everything up there.
