In general, in previous versions of SSMS, when creating a new CTRL + N query, it was displayed in the Solution Explorer.

I put a new version 17.5 and this behavior disappeared => if many requests are open at the same time and they do not fit in the masonry, then it is hard to switch between them.

In the previous version, I could switch using the solution browser.

    Found a solution in the form of a free plug-in ApexSQL Complete . It has a setting that allows you to display a list of requests that are displayed at the top of the list for which it is easy to navigate.
