There is a task to coordinate the coordinates of several thousand settlements and the distance to them from the Moscow Ring Road. The software part is ready for me, tested and works great. There is a question: How often can you send requests to the api maps and geocoder, so as not to fall under the sanctions? In the current view, the parser sends 10-12 requests per minute - is this normal?

    1 answer 1

Using the Yandex.Map API for parsing data is prohibited by the user agreement. Such a service may be automatically blocked.

For legitimate use with the display of the map and without saving the data, the limit is limited only per day - 25,000 requests in the free version.

    • The map is shown, the route is displayed on the map, the measured distance and the coordinates obtained are displayed on the page in html elements. The script itself, as well as the page, does not save anything. Is this legal? In fact, of course, there is data saving, but not by browser means. - john.profitt
    • It is forbidden to save data received from the API. If, say, you build a route, and then save its mileage and travel time to yourself for future use, then this is prohibited. Similarly, if a person clicked on the map, and you saved the address (house, street) of this point to your base - Reni
    • Thank you, Reni, I already read the agreement. Because of this, another question arose. After all, no one forbids to use to build a route coordinates obtained from the public service yandex.ru/maps/? Sorry to ask, I’m not a programmer, but a driver, and last time I wrote something in the school program 22 years ago .. - john.profitt
    • And yet, is it possible to display on the map not the entire route, but its part from a certain point to the final one? - john.profitt
    • You can build a route by coordinates, display only part of the route as well. - Reni
