There are many sites on one server. Everything on php (and mostly on bare php without frameworks - they are very old), but it is unknown which version. In the sense that it is not clear that they will break (and if they break at all) if you upgrade php to version 7 (now 5.6). How can I check if they have no tests? Stupidly upgrade and wait until the bugs crumble? : D

I really want to update php. Forces are no longer on 5.6 new projects to write. :( I heard the truth that you can somehow keep several versions of php on the server, but for now I don’t know how to do it either ...

  • No, probably, even with tests something may be missed - andreymal
  • @Visman is not, it is not possible. There are about a hundred sites, and the developers are two of us. Not an option to check everything manually (and there is no time). - PECHAPTER
  • But why write new 5.6 projects? It seems that there should not be a great problem to put two versions of php at the same time (for debian and others I will not say, but I have two php on archa) - andreymal
  • @andreymal I just don’t know how to do it. :( Server on CentOS 6. - PECHAILTER
