Installed on Debian 9 x64 game alien-arena. Debian is on VMware. Downloaded packages from here: https://pkgs.org/download/alien-arena Produces such errors. Help me figure out why X display doesn't open.

Judging by the log, you run the game from under a session in which X11 is not running. Therefore, you must either startx before starting the game (to start x11 and initialize the DISPLAY environment variable), or export DISLPAY by hand, in the способ_доступа:номер_сервера.номер_экрана - unless, of course, you know the path to the nearest X11 server.
