how to replace 'Sasha on the highway', on 'Masha on the road', but not just by

 text = text.replace('саша по шоссе', 'Маша по дороге')

and what would be the function marked the beginning of the "went" and the end of the "sucked". (I do not specifically =). In other words: I need a replacement from the specific beginning and end of the text. and what is in the middle of the text did not matter.
