==============
Tell me, please, since 2012 I have been using special software for managing satellite reference stations (Pilot program produced by Trimble and GNSS Spider from Leica) and since yesterday (04/26/2018) I started having problems with licensing the web component of Google Maps Javascript Api . This component is used in the WEB applications of the above software (necessary for registering users and monitoring the real-time operation of the station system, etc.) The problem with licensing is related to the need to update the API key (the so-called key for Google maps) and prescribe it in the configuration settings of the WEB-servers. I read the conditions for using such a key and saw that there is a standard work plan that has a number of restrictions on the frequency of receiving data from the licensed component per day / second (depending on the configured quotas), etc. and the excess of the established limit should be paid additionally (as I understood it is necessary to set up the payment account in advance and switch to the paid rate). However, I am completely satisfied with the standard key usage plan. Yes, I will also clarify that all software was acquired by legal means through official dealers to a legal entity (since 2016, it has been incorporated into Rostekhinventarizatsiya FBTI). At the same time, I did not find any restrictions on its use in the API key usage rules, but as practice has shown, this limit is 1 day, which is extremely inconvenient for using an industrial system, which must be provided 24/7 (for example, on holidays update something extremely difficult or impossible). After updating the API key (or receiving a new one), there is a small time delay for its registration and use. In view of the above, please clarify if there is any possibility to extend the validity period of the API key for the standard tariff for a year (or at least a quarter) using API console as part of the Google Cloude Platform platform? If this is not possible, then tell me if there is a tool for automating calls to the Console Cloud service (via javascript or other vba-like languages) for writing a task on a schedule that would request an API key update after pre-registering in the selected Google account and then insert it to all dependent WEB services (but this is another story), I am interested in the first part, i.e. directly request to update and get the value of the updated API key.
Apikeydefinitely not one day. You may still exceed usage limits. - Stepan Kasyanenko
