I have an .xlsx book formed through a form on the site. I would like to dynamically clone sheets in the book based on the data that will be transmitted through the form. For example - I have a sheet under the employee. if 2 or more employees were created through the form, then there should be more sheets for them. The sheets themselves are already formatted and stylized in a certain way, which is difficult for me to repeat with the help of gems - I killed a lot of time for this without getting anything ... I’m looking for a way for me to clone certain sheets in a book with all styles and links rels, in workbook and others). I thought to call vs.net through ruby, but it doesn’t roll on unix ... tell me how to proceed?

  • If 50 employees - 50 sheets? approach is wrong. You still will not be able to view more than one sheet. Flat table on one sheet. With proper organization, it is enough to simply extract the necessary information from this table, promptly view or print the tables of each employee in large quantities - vikttur
  • that is not) I need exactly 50 sheets, since this is a registration form and a separate sheet is submitted for each employee. legal requirement, not my whim) - Nickolay Efimov
  • Try re-formatting with Google Spreadsheets. There is an export to xlsx. Cloning can be done both on the REST API or the rubies heme from Google, and on Google Apps Script. - Nakilon
  • And probably you can smear with macros - cram data in raw form into cut, and Excel will format it when opened. - Nakilon
  • @Nakilon, now I tried to import my file into google, it imports quite crookedly, a lot of data was lost ... I’ll still have to pay attention and add everything) and the heme is called google_drive? or is there some more? - Nickolay Efimov
