Maybe not quite on the topic of the site, but it seems I fit into the administration :)

At work, and not only have to communicate with a bunch of different people. I looked at the screen today and almost cried. Skype, Viber, Telegram, QIP (which includes QIP, VK, OK, ICQ ...) And Facebook separately in the browser. And everywhere there are contacts that do not want to move on to something else from the principle: (

Is it possible to replace all this herd of messengers (well, if not all, then at least to the maximum) with something one, and with what? To make it as simple as possible (I tried Miranda NG, got tired of Skype, erased it), be sure to safely (with the guarantee that at least the passwords won't go to the left) - and covered as many of the above as possible. Any video conversations are not of interest, I practically don’t use it - just text, file transfer is desirable, but not necessary. I would also like a quick reaction to a rapidly changing world - they changed somewhere the protocol, and this would be quickly worked out.

Under Windows.

Who will advise what?

  • Skype and Viber does not have an external API, respectively, and client applications can not be third-party. - Nick Volynkin

@NickVolynkin Well, I definitely have some kind of Skype emulation in Miranda, at least I managed to send a message, but it didn’t work out. - Harry
  • Rambox I use for these purposes. Thank. - Sasha Chernykh

Pidgin with plugins. I do not follow the project now, but earlier it was very good - don Rumata
