Introduction to the problem:

There is a laptop ACER Pentium quad quite new (CPU N3540 bought two and a half years ago). It was Windows-8 after the purchase, it upgraded to Windows-10-64 Home Edition. Windows-10-64 periodically downloads updates. TODAY the next update was delivered. The system now displays the version of Windows 10 Version 1803 and the build number 17134.81.

There are 4 disks in the system:

C: \ - system

D: \ - DVD-RW Drive

E: \ - removable mechanical USB screw from Transend

F: \ - removable mechanical USB screw from Transend

But not everything turned out so well. After installing this latest update, a new G: \ disk measuring 471 MEGA bytes appeared. This disk is occupied by 423 MB and 48 MB free. On closer examination, it turned out that it was most likely an internal screw on which a copy of Windows-8 was recorded upon delivery. There are three folders on this G: \ drive:

  1. $ RECYCLE.BIN size 129 bytes

  2. Recovery size 0 bytes

  3. System Volume Information size 0 bytes

All folders are not available.

Questions:

  1. Is it that now you can no longer restore the original Windows-8 from a backup disk?

  2. In connection with question p. 1, now you need to format this G: \ drive and use it as another drive? Or it is not necessary to touch it and it is needed for some mysterious actions of the system?

  3. Where is this G: \ drive physically located? on the C: \ drive or is it some kind of flash drive in a laptop?

  4. In connection with the question of p. 2 and p. 3, is it possible to somehow attach this G: \ drive to the C: \ drive, or will it still hang in the system as a separate drive?

  5. Another unpleasant feature: at the beginning of the work in ten seconds after switching on, a message appears stating that this G: \ disk is full and it is suggested to clean the extra files on it. A cleaning panel appears where all unnecessary files are shown as zero. If you agree and click OK, the panel disappears and no longer appears until the next restart of the machine. How to make this message not appear?

Thank.
