In general, I am a beginner and I want to develop my own small game on Java & LWJGL, like Stardew Valley. It will be in terms of simple graphics: pixel, tile-based, 2D, top view. We need help on how to effectively render textures, tiles, and in general level off, how to make simple lighting, like the same Stardew Valley and other elements of the game. I would like to hear either advice on how to do it all, or, preferably, I could somehow contact you, and if you have experience in programming games, then you would help me in more detail: you looked through the code of the game, gave some tips and stuff. In general, I am looking for a certain mentor.

The question gives rise to endless debates and discussions based not on knowledge, but on opinions. To get an answer, rephrase your question so that it can be given an unambiguously correct answer, or delete the question altogether. If the question can be reformulated according to the rules set out in the certificate , edit it .
- onehmm .. you definitely do not want to choose a real engine for yourself? lwjgl is not a simple library, and for a beginner it can be an obstacle when writing the first game .. - OldTeaOwl
