I have software that requires open ports in the Internet. Server in local network. Now they are closed, I need to start the program and see what ports it is trying to occupy. Advise something. As you understand now the ports I need are closed and for example nmap does not detect them, he can only see the connected ones. Or maybe there is some option? Help!

  • Maybe the command: netstat -ntulp will help, well, and if the ports are closed, no program will see them. - Vlad Vetrov
  • Put the firewall and monitor. From known: Agnitum outpost (firewall), Wireshark (network monitor). - nick_n_a
  • @VladVetrov netstat -tulp also shows only open tcp and udp connections, - Dmitriy
  • If you need closed ports, then here is 0 - 65536 choose any, except for what netstat-tulp showed - Vlad Vetrov
  • @VladVetrov, yes no, in principle, another task. You do not know which ports need to be forwarded out, nmap shows only open ones, on the computer which software takes some, how to find out which ones? to forward them - Dmitriy
