Connecting via ssh to the server. I become an EFB \ production user. When creating files, they are created with the EFB \ domain ^ users group. In the pool, I want to configure the user and group properties from the current user, but when I try to restart fpm I get the error message: Starting php-fpm [27-Jun-2018 22:13:41] ERROR: [pool www] please specify user and group other than root

  • Everything is elementary in www.conf. Just specify user and group - KAGG Design
  • which user and which group? I’m saying that if I’m pointing out the current one, I’m throwing a mistake, and if I’ll specify nginx, then everything is ok, but then I’ll have to chown directories every time - Edward
  • What does current mean? Who is this - the current? There is no such term in Linux. And you need to put nginx, yes. Well, or a bunch of options, with 775 and 664, and the user in the nginx group. It depends on how many sites are on the server, whether it is necessary to distinguish between them, what is there with sftp, etc. etc. - KAGG Design

In general, the problem was solved by wrapping the user name in quotes. Apparently backslash can not be used in the config in the meaning of the parameters.
