Help correct the error. When installing with pip, an error is returned
Could not install packages due to EnvironmentError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'E: \ MyModules \ dist \ vsearch-1.0.tar'
I use
py -3 -m pip install vsearch-1.0.tar I checked the name of the archive. The name is entered correctly. The current working directory is correct. What else could be the reason for such an error I do not understand. Thanks in advance for your help.
.tarformat does not seem to be supported. Most likely, the file format is.tar.gz, but since Windows hides the file extension by default, the file is shown as.tar. Trypy -3 -m pip install vsearch-1.0.tar.gz(added.gzat the end). - hoefling.tar.bz2format may be, it is also supported - if it doesn't work.gz, try with.bz2. Well, the general advice is to disable hiding file extensions in Explorer. - hoefling
