The ext4 hard disk partition has been rolled back for two years, that is, there are no changes in two years. I mounted the partition from under windows 10 using EXT2FSD. Saved there projects from Adobe Premiere. All project files were stored in this section. Recently I decided to copy some files from the NTFS partition to this very EXT4 partition, after which this problem occurred.

The partition itself was used by the xubuntu system. GRUB recently crashed due to a windows update, and I did not restore it.

I decided to boot from under the LiveCD to try to do something with this section, but it is in read only mode and cannot be mounted.

Can I do something to restore the files? On the section are very important files for the project Premiere.

  • Judging from the description, instead of imputed OC, you have a dense forest, it is not clear on what crutch it all worked. But this is not about that now, do you really think that you can roll back something in your case? - Digital Core

physical device if the disk cannot be read only. RO may already be a mounted partition. so I cannot understand your phrase " but it is in read only mode and cannot be mounted ." I think e2fsck would still be able to work with him calmly. but before its launch it would not hurt to remove the full image of the section, just in case something goes wrong - Mike
