There is an application in which I work with lists of incoming and outgoing messages, when I click on one of the elements of this list, I switch to activating where my message is shown, who sent it and so on. And here on this activation I want to make a toolbar below where I will have buttons, for example, reply to the sender of the message, delete and maybe something else. I already worked with slidingTabs, but here I’m not sure what exactly slidingTabs needs to do. I want to make a simple toolbar with buttons that will switch to a separate activation. I thought for a long time that I would use activites or fragments, and came to the conclusion that activations would be better since I have both incoming and outgoing ones and the toolbar will be the same for these two categories of messages. I asked this question in order to be advised to me how best to implement this toolbar, with fragments or activations. I do not argue that it is very confusingly written, but I hope that I will receive here good tips and other useful information regarding my question.

If you want to implement a Toolbar maybe this will help you http://www.ahotbrew.com/android-toolbar-example/
Why did you decide what exactly slidingTabs should do? As I think so, the activity is realized if the page is "static", for example, in settings / gallery / calculator, and fragments if you have something like this http://global.drfone.biz/images/others/true-contacts.jpg or google chrome play market
