    If you are accustomed to Windows - stay on Windows. Put on virtualku (I advise vmware) ubuntu server (it is without GUI - it is not needed, we write code in Windows). Then there is a function "Shared Folders" - we charm the folder with the code from Windows to the Linux machine. After this, the code is written on Windows - and we run it on Linux on the virtual machine - it will not be necessary to bother with copying the code.
