Are there any differences from which version to start learning SQL Server 2005 or 2008? After reading the comments that there are no special differences between them. Many advise the book of Robert Vieira. But on the Internet it is only for 2005 SQL. In fact, there is no difference with which version to start acquaintance with SQL Server?

    You have forgotten the letters MS in server names. Without them, the question is somewhat vague. - alexlz

The main thing to start. :-) Everything that works under 2005 will work under 2008.

However, if you wait a bit, you will have another option - 2012. :-)
