There is a Windows application written in Delphi, it has a login form. There is a login field, and a password field.

If you tap on the password field, the on-screen keyboard rises. If you tap on the login field - no. The same with all other fields, except the password entry field. How does Windows distinguish between different input controls, and how can I fix the problem? In Win 7, everything was fine.

upd: Funny, the problem disappeared by itself after Windows auto-update.

  • What components are used to enter the password and login? - Dima
  • TcxMaskEdit in both cases. - user1443993
  • Are the properties of both components exposed the same ? A small trick: if possible, try replacing these components with standard TMaskEdit and see them working. In the absence of a positive reaction - contact the technical support of the supplier component (DevExpress, if not confusing?). - Dima
