When loading an image, I generate a very small, blocked 16x16 thumbnail, convert to base64 and save it in the database in the BLOB field, for the main image I save only the path.

I plan to use a small preview for lazy loading of the original image. Well, maybe even in some places.

Generally crept in doubt whether I'm doing it right. Especially at ~ 50-60 photos the size of the table was 148kb, and without a BLOB field of 64kb.

Who faced this, please help, give advice. :)
