The situation is this: I deleted linux half a year ago, cleaned all the disks, installed windows10, restored the bootloader and everything worked. Half a year has passed and suddenly at the next power-up I see a grub error no such partition , I go to Google, I find several solutions, I remember what I did this half a year ago. I make a bootable USB flash drive with the same windows10, boot, shift + F10, execute commands

 bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /rebuildbcd

but the error does not disappear. I go further - if such a method does not work, then the necessary section is not activated. Okay, I made a bootable USB flash drive with MiniTool Partition Wizard , I boot, I select the partition from the OS, but it is already "Activated".

Help please solve the problem. On the disks are important photos that can not be lost. If I install 1 more Windows, then I understand this will not help to fix the bootloader? And anyway, what could be the cause of a breakdown if I decided to remove Linux problems a long time ago?

In the photo you can see all that shows MiniTool Partition Wizard enter image description here

  • @don Rumata, I do not know, but how to check? if there is something to do? There, in theory, I do not have UEFI but an old BIOS. - Farad
  • Well sobsno efi - this is the thing inside the mother. Rather, the part that interests. Google model mother and the prefix uefi / efi . - don Rumata
  • @don Rumata, and if I install 1 more Windows on disk2 for example, it is almost empty. Will I fix the bootloader? The main thing for me is not to leave the pictures and I could use the computer. I can then just throw the pictures in a safe place and format the old Windows. Will this help? More precisely not so. New Windows will fix the bootloader? - Farad

Then swing mirror.yandex.ru/ubuntu-cdimage/xubuntu/releases/bionic/release / ... , through it, throw off everything you need on the external \ other screw, then through gparted live demolish all partitions, create a system with your hands and then put there Windows - don Rumata
