Good afternoon, dear people. After the demolition of python3. 7 Trouble started with the Linux mint home system with the window manager. I started to give an error: "either the window manager does not support the desktop clearing button, or the window manager is not running at all" the terminal has stopped working. Headings at windows ceased to be displayed and they can be closed only after file-> exit. Alt + Tab does not work. Moving is not possible. The start button is not displayed on the taskbar. Apparently, after specifying a link to a new version of python from 2.7 to 3.7 and removing it, the system cannot find it again. Vooot cant so cant. Reinstalling the system is not an option. How to delete a link? Or is there another solution? enter image description here

  • I used the sudo ln -sf /usr/bin/python3.7 / usr / bin / python2 command. 7 - Gennady
  • Remove the broken link as a regular file and reinstall the python (both will not interfere just in case). On errors as in the photo, you can probably ignore it (apt-get as a whole does not seem to depend on python) - andreymal
  • From what it turns out that by this error I can not produce any of the downloads through apt-get. A package manager, I can not use the graphical interface. - Gennady
  • What can you mean? The sudo apt-get install --force-reinstall=true python2.7-minimal python2.7 also writes an error and doesn’t want to reinstall anything? - andreymal 1:21 pm
  • Although, judging by the text of the error, you also need to reinstall python3.7-minimal python3.7 command-not-found python3-apt - andreymal
