The following questions arise: 1. Whether to make icons square and their launchers themselves will be cut as it should: 2. Or make icons for popular launchers, round the edges yourself, renaming it to round, circle, square. 3. In what format PNG, JPG, on a transparent background or fill?

The simplest solution is to right-click on the drawable package (in res) and select Image Asset.

Then you can add an icon yourself, see how it will look on different devices. You can also add color and background.
