There is such a task - in the already written application with the help of AR core the possibility of placing 3D models is implemented, it is necessary to save the state of the scene so that when you restart the application, all the objects of the scene are restored. Now you have to arrange everything anew. The app is always used exclusively in the same room.

ArCore does not allow saving the session, but this can be partially solved by working with Cloud Anchors.
I don’t remember exactly where I met the discussion, but Google motivated it by the fact that the device definitely moved while tracking was not active, and therefore you need to get the coordinate anew.

The problem can be solved with the help of the Cloud Anchors API , although there is a limitation there - data is stored only for 24 hours so far.
